We're off to Amish country (Kutztown) and home of Sorrelli jewlery if you're interested Friday. Maybe your wife can forgive you for dragging her across the country to a prog festival. :knowing:

We are going this morning. Do you have my cell. I'm at the Hampton Inn in Willow Grove. I'll try you at the hilton. It's probably about an 3-4 hour trip with travel time included (well depending on your shopping time. :D )

Plane delayed due to thunderstorms in St. Louis. What was it about butterflies flapping their wings in China, and a storm brewing in New York?

WHew, it's been a long, long week... it will be good to get my head out of a book for a little bit and have some fun!

Thanks guys!!! I was supposed to play 3 songs but George told me to play 2 instead. Wish I had a soundcheck, but I did the best I could without one. It was nice to meet you all too!!!!

(was disappointed that Keithie didn't dance naked during my 10 min set!)

Well, it's official, I just booked my room for RosFest 2009 at the new host hotel. The Holiday Inn. See you there in 2009!:rockband:

I didn't even know that they were taking room bookings for the next ROS. I just caught the latter end of a ROSfest mailing list discussion about this. M is now securing us a room. George didn't say anything to me about this!

Re: Rites of Spring Festival - ROSfest (2008)

Well I think you can book a hotel room at anytime for anything as long as their is availability. He might not get a discount rate and the person who works there might not yet know about RF but that wouldn't stop them from letting him book a room.

I have noticed that with Rosfest in particular a lot of the people like to get the hotel where all the bands stay at. I can understand booking a room early since the popular hotel will probably be full before tickets even officilly go on sale. Me? I live half an hour away(if that)so I don't bother with the hotel. I might consider it though if I move more than say 40 minutes away.

There was a screw-up in the Holiday Inn's web registration. George straightened things out. M booked us a 2 bed non-smoking room and we cancelled the smoking room we had reserved earlier. The HI didn't appear to have any suites. We may still book at the Hilton if there's a suite there. I need room to party! :D On the otherhand, if the moonies book early at the HI, we can get a block of rooms on a floor just as long as I'm far away from the methane emanating from that Brit's and Dane's room! :D

Mike I booked my room through the link on the RosFest site. I got the posted rate on the RosFest site. No problem at all.

Aye! Do so and then let me know. Same for other moonies. I'll contact the H.I. when the time is nigh and have them put us together in a block of rooms.

What is meant by prog newbie? She only knows the really obvious bands or she doesn't know hardly anything about prog at all(yet)? ;)

I've decided to go ahead and get a Patron seat - there's only a week left so I'm going to do it in the next day or two. If anyone wants to join me let me know, otherwise I'll get a single seat...didn't stay there last year anyway

Regardless os the lineups, I'm doing Rosfest, Nearfest (already arranged), 3RP, and Progday. FMPM would be nice but it's an inconvenient date...
