Yorksvc - Please wish him well

I received an email from the daughter of Rob Grant (Yorksvc). Rob is in the same ICU of the same Hospital that my mother is recovering from her aneurysm (she may be home next week!). Rob has had a procedure, the details I'm not sure of, but his daughter wanted his musician friends to know of his progress. I wanted to extend this to his Aural Moon friends.

She has said he knows his name, where he is, and the date, and is encouraged. When I find out more I will let you all know - I will see if I am allowed to visit him this week.

Thanks to all -

Rick

I think I can say that many of us wish him well Rick.

Let him know his friends on the moon are thinking good thoughts for him.

Well I hate the sound of the word hospital and I hate the place having being cooped up in one as a boy. So I hope for Gods sake Yorks makes a speedy recovery and gets out that damned place......

Wow. I've been wondering where he's been but this is not what I wanted to hear.

Consider this post my get well wish and I do hope all's well for him.

Rick, perhaps you could ask that his daughter to keep us all apprised.

In addition, when I had that thread for Brian Van Korn, I printed out all of the moonie's well wishes and took them to the hospital for him to read. We should try to do the same for Yorksrvc. After all, he's one of us and he should know that we're all concerned.

sorry to hear he's in the hospital, but very glad he is improving, may this be an everyday occurance til he is home and well and healthy again. I think it a grand idea to print out this thread for his daughter to read to him if he is unable...I've missed seeing his signature in the online list...he will be in my prayers and thoughts (as is your mom rick).

i hope you can visit and he is well enough to know we are all sending him our energies.

much affection

update

I was visiting my mother on her last day at the Hospital a few hours ago...she's going to a rehab facility for a few weeks...and doing great (as you can be). She's a tough broad :-V

I went downstairs to see where Rob was, they said 7th floor....I walked right up to the room (anyone can get in!)..

He was three doors down from where my mother was (until Sunday). Same doctor did the surgery, same issue (brain aneurysm)...and they live 25 miles apart!

His wife was sleeping in the adjacent chair, and I was going to leave and she woke up...then Rob did for a few minutes. We talked a bit...I told him of everyone's wishes - he's still a bit groggy and I think I freaked him out by showing up. I also didn't expect to get down there today but things worked out.

Apparently he had this for a day or two before he saw the doctor - he will be in the ICU for a good while.

Thanks to everyone for the kind words, and I'll drop in with an update...I've had enough of the University of MD Medical Center thank you very much!

Rick,

Thanks for the update. Of course, Rob and your mom will be in my thoughts and prayers. I'm glad she is getting better. I sure hope Rob gets to follow her lead and leaves there soon as well.

Best wishes,

Andy
