MohoDisco-only $5

I found a wonderful electronic band named MohoDisco on the playlist. I'm always looking to play stuff I haven't heard along with my usual favorites. And every once in a while I stumble on something I really enjoy. So after hearing 3 songs I google to find their website and low and behold, Bruce(the person behind MohoDisco) sells the album as an electronic download as an mp3 or a lossless download for only $5. That includes jpegs of the album cover, inside art also. I downloaded the mp3 to my iTunes, then converted to an AAC file to play on my iPod and the quality is as good as my apple.com music purchases.

Then a couple of days later, Bruce from MohoDisco sent me an email wanting to make sure I was happy with the product and if I had any suggestions. Such person touch from the artist is really over the top and I enjoyed it.

So request a song and if you like it, spend $5. The whole album is as good as any one song. If you do buy, post your response about the music here also.

If you like the Ozrics, you'll probably like Mohodisco. Certainly not identical, but similar sounds...

ever seen the show on SpikeTV called MXC? or Most Extreme Elimination Challenge? I love the show. Basically, two guys do comedic overdubs on an extreme Japanese "reality" game show where the contestants have to perform fairly challenging and sometimes dangerous stunts. The commentary is absolutely hilarious, and it actually takes a few listens to appreciate the number of jokes.

The avatar I found somewhere on the web, is of one of the games that sometimes appear on the show called "Boulderdash" - contestants have to run up the chute whilst boulders (not sure what they're made out of) are rolled down at them - there's a few turnoffs in the side of the chute to avoid the boulders, but there's people in the turnoffs trying to push them back out.

I don't watch a lot of TV, but I rarely miss MXC.

http://tv.groups.yahoo.com/group/mxc/ has some background info...

plus, sometimes I feel like that guy. I'm trying to keep up with my Aural Moon duties, and more and more CDs and requests are piling up, starting an "avalanche" if you will...so it's just a very complex, deep, and subtle metaphor. :D

I guess I shouldn't be embarrased

about watching "Funniest Game Show Moments 2" the other day (but did watch a neat 60 minutes tribute too, so I'm even).

I was wondering about that avatar too.

I didn't know Sysyphus (sp) was Japanese!
