too much stardate

I think the every 3-4 hours is a bit over the top, but I can live with it. But it ("StarDate - 3-11 Moon and Mercury") has just played back to back twice in the last hour (15:30 PST). ARGH!

josh 03-11-2005 06:32 PM

Yeah, I noticed that too. I personally don't listen to the StarDates at all, does anyone?

Hrm. If it played twice back to back, then I boo-booed. I'll have to adjust timing on certain days. It may have also been a typo when I input the show listing.

Seriously, there's a poll with comments up. If you think it's played too much, let me KNOW! I'm not psychic, you know....

Roger -Dot- Lee, in spite of the fact I was born and raised in Northern California...

It just played back to back again, in case you weren't aware of it. (around 9:05-9:10 EST)

And I'll make sure to check out the polls and stuff. :)

1. Welcome Josh. I think you'd like to meet a fellow here named Old Sod. Big Rush fan.

2. I think the Stardate 4 four thing is perfect, but today it did play twice each time it played. The only normal problem is when Stardate is scheduled during a show. SAM adds it to the bottom of the queue, and then it takes forever to play, and SAM adds it again. So after Gags replay, for example, Stardate will play twice in ten minutes.

OK, I'll make a note of that.

Of course, this means that I have to keep track of which days are which, instead of just adding in mass.

I'll work something out.

Roger -Dot- Lee, always do...

Umm, maybe I'm a simpleton, but what if it were scheduled to run once every 6 hours (that time span being longer than any show) - problem solved maybe?

I was operating under the assumption that we were going to keep it at 4 hours. I have no problem moving it to six (easier to implement, I'd say).

Roger -Dot- Lee, six it is.

MrMagoo 03-15-2005 10:07 AM

hmm...

Sorry about posting this here, I knew there was a poll somewhere, but when I click on the home page Stardate poll link, I get a page with the news story, but no poll.

Mr (6 is good) Magoo.

i cast my vote

but failed to comment. sorry roger. at first the 3-4 seemed fine but i noticed it never really stuck to 3hrs(i'd get in at 9 and hear it and an then hear it again before noon—or so it seemed). so moving it to 6 hr rotation sounds excellent....and YES i actually listen to it, always have liked it.

thanks for having it
podakayne of mars

p.s. WELCOME josh...nice to have you aboard

Stardate problem has been rectified

Greetings and salutations to all participants, both terrestrial as well as visitors.

I know I posted this on the main page, but I figured I'd be well advised to also post it here, since often times the main board gets resoundingly ignored.

Effective tomorrow (the 18th of March, 2005), Stardate has moved to a six hour rotation. 3am, 9am, 3pm 9pm.

That makes it a whole lot easier to maintain, let me assure you.

Roger -Dot- Lee, making thangs better, one thang at a time.

podakayne 03-18-2005 01:22 PM
