Strawbs live at the Half Moon, Putney.

Saw Dave and the lads at this famous London venue last night.

It was the "Electric" Strawbs and IMHO all the better for it.

The line up was that which made superb albums like "Hero and Heroine" and "Ghosts", two of my fave Strawbs albums.

The band played really well and the fans (one of whom had flown in that day from Cincinatti just for the gig :eeeek ) loved it.

They played Autumn, Round and Round, Lay Down, Hero and Heroine and a whole host of others during a two hour set that had me dancing and smiling like a madman. Pam loved the gig too. One of our fave songs when we started seeing each other was "Hold on to me" - The last part of "Autumn" and they played that too. Dave Lambert (Guitar) sang it and I have to admit he has a fine voice. They played a few of his songs too and he is a terrific song writer......see it's not all about Dave Cousins (master of his craft that he is).

Definitely worth the journey and the late night. Catch them if they play in your neck of the woods. You won't be disappointed.

Would have loved to have attended this one, k. Glad to see they're still gigging.

Saw Steeleye Span at the Half Moon many full moons ago! Great venue.

Glad you and Pam enjoyed. Sounds like a great evening.
