Transition to the new webserver will begin soon! Lots of new features, cleaner layout, the whole shebang. Here's what will happen soon.

1. The new website will use your current FORUM username and password. Your front page username and password will be discarded. The new frontpage uses your forum name and password, so no more separate website and forum accounts!

2. I'll be closing the forum shortly before the transition. The new forums will essentially identical to the ones we have now, but will probably have a new "skin" or color layout.

Should we put a "link" to the new web site on the currnet web site and have a "cross-over" period before we make the new site the defacto site. It would allow a period to stress test what has been implemented.

Spaz notwithstanding, I'm looking forward to the new look; thanks for all the work! and I think Vax's idea is a good one.

Well, that might be problematic, since of course the domain can only point to one website, and once the domain is switchever to the new site, all the links on the old one will break. Also the what's playing now can really only be updated on one site, and the forums on the old site will close. So I'd prefer just a switchover - many less headaches.

Yes, it will be different, but it will OK. Really!

congrats and many thanks in advance avian...cant wait to see it...perhaps post announcement on front page for those that never go splunking into the forums...in a very large neon color font for those who never read either
