Light

As far as I know this band released only one CD. In 1995, their album called "Light" was published by SI Music and Roadrunner Records with eight songs completly prog-rock :
  1. Follow Eyes
  2. Elephant On Tightrope
  3. Carnivore Feast
  4. Dreams
  5. Dream On
  6. God On Wires
  7. Just Feelings
  8. Juice of Burning Meat
"Dreams" is incredible.
Line-Up : Randy Van Dijk - Bass & Vocals ; Mario Driessen - Guitar & Vocals ; Jeroen Kregting - Keyboards & Vocals ; Jack Van Dijk - Drums.
These infos are from my CD.
On the web I only that site with nothing special :
http://progmusique.ledico.free.fr/html/image-light.htm (in French)

(the problem is another band is called "light" (by example you can find another in Progarchives) and many things countain the word "light" -.- )

Interesting, never heard of them. Any reference of what they sound like?

I see vocals, but some of the song titles sure seem like they're instrumentals :)

Wow :D I'm glad I found a band you don't know ! ... I will agree with you if you say that there are so many bands we can't know them all (?) ... ^^

Well, any reference. I consider this band as a "modern" progressive rock band. There are some heavy riffs sounds stuff because of (or thanks to) the guitar sounds, but no metal sounds. More bluezy/groovy. There are IMHO 70/80 influences like Yes (btw difficult sometimes to do without ;) ). They sound "fresh and young" but their music stays very atmospheric. I realise that I can't find more precise influences, or it is because I'm a too young new moonie ^^ Oh, of course, some little parts sound like other prog bands but saying it is more a band influence than a simple prog style...
  1. Follow Eyes (with vocals) 4'19
  2. Elephant On Tightrope (with vocals) 7'31
  3. Carnivore Feast (Instru) 3'44
  4. Dreams (with vocals, orchestra and choirs) 21'57
  5. Dream On (with vocals) 4'43
  6. God On Wires (with vocals, more "ballad") 7'22
  7. Just Feelings (with vocals) 9'05
  8. Juice of Burning Meat (with vocals, acoustic guitar part) 1'35

:)

P.S. : At the end of the booklet :
Contact Address : Music Agency M&S, Meijhorst 6326, 6537 LB Nijmegen, The Netherlands
