Diggin' It!

Hi Paul!
I have been listening to the show for a few weeks and I am diggin' it. I am sometimes surprised by the connections between people, bands, tunes, etc. that have turned up on the show and more than once have thought to myself, "no kidding?"

Anyhow, I thought the Mike Keneally song you played tonight was great. I think it was called Because of Breakfast.

Regards,
Stickman

PS: When can we hear some obscure Tony Levin? :D

I've had fun griping about the obscure Europrog on AM that some folks request, lumping it all together under one band name of "Il Porcus Slabofattus," among other disparagements, but you've found some terrific material. Definitely widening my horizons.

(Maybe this post belongs under the "Progressive Shores" thread, but I haven't listened to that show yet.)

Heya Stickman! Thanks for the praise. If you want obscure Tony Levin...how about a recording of that Stick clinic he did at Wurlitzer Music in Boston! It must have been between 1984 and 1987. He does some 'noodling' as he calls it...also some little Bach pieces as well as some Gabriel and Crimson. He even played a Gabriel bootleg cassette, and he also told us the tale of Gabriel asking him to play the Stick with thimbles on his fingers...

"OK, Peter...let's go get some tea, Peter..."

Were you there too?

Mike Keneally's "Cause Of Breakfast" is great, isn't it? It's from 'Boil That Dust Speck." His previous album 'Hat' is excellent too. He also did a project with Prairie Prince, Henry Kaiser, and Andy West called 'The Mistakes,' and then there's his band Beer For Dolphins and so much more...he's a super-freak.

Hey black max! Glad you're enjoying the obscurities...widening horizons is definitely our intent!

BEWARE...next week may stretch the limits of your idea of 'prog.'
