Referring to the new Rush tunes? Whatever happened to "the shifting shafts of shining weave the fabric of their dreams"?

Victor

Lifeson's solo effort is called Victor. Some interesting stuff on it and many are very different from Rush. I think it would surprise you. Les Claypool from Primus plays on one very strange track.

new stuff

Yeah, Yespazz, that is the track that caught my eye too. I just hope that the songs aren't as pop-prog as on the last CD. When you hear Geddy Lee's solo album and you compare it to Alex Lifeson's,...

It seems that the stream is more robust than before. I listened all day yesterday and hadn't been dropped once. This was not the case before.

Same comments as Dinosaur. Maybe even a link to the band's website or your own comments on the band and/or music.

Max Webster

I also have a few Max Webster LP's. I agree that the only stuff that would be considered prog is from their earlier work. Mutiny Up My Sleeve ia also a good album.

Don't judge Max Webster by Kim...

Rite of Spring

I agree with Yesspaz, the Rite of Spring by Stravinsky certainly strikes a progressive chord in the classical music genre. It was so progressive that it caused a riot when first played in Paris. I...

I have listened to all the sample tracks given at the sight. Good assertive musicianship sure to please the Rush/Transatlantic/Spock's Beard and some Yes fans (like me), especially if you like Neil...

Strange Advance

Although I don't consider Strange Advance a prog-rock band, the 2 songs "World's Away" and "Home of the Brave" seem to fit the bill. Give them a listen and hopefully you can add them to your rotation.
