I love Sonic Youth! Their avant garde textures, musicial tonality, and out of the ordinary sound should appeal to most prog fans. They just seem to get better with each passing year.....

I always notice "warmth" in a live musical setting........beeeen playing in bands and running sound for over 24 years.

I also notice imperfections. Sounds is seldom if ever "perfect" or "accurate"....

I ain't giving up my vinyl! But I have doubles of most of it on CD.....but I love remasters of classics and the upgraded sound they offer!

Ween is quite diverse in style actually. They do a lot of prog & psyche rock along with comedy, country, and metal. It's hard to pidgeon-hole them, really...

I have always loved Ween. I remember trying to turn my good-friend and prog-mentor, Craig Shropshire (he of the gnosis and taiko drummer extrordinare) onto them back in like 1992. He absolutely HATED...

Glad you are replaying this. I love a lot of avant garde on this show lis...particularly Eskaton, Krakatoa, and Art Zoyd. Sounding GREAT!
