"Theusz Hamtaak !"
More seriously I think the Scottish band Pallas has very well-written lyrics, and even if they're not as "historical" as King Crimson or Yes lyrics, they're still great. I like the chorus of "Who's to blame ?" a lot:
"Oooh, though the seasons come and go,
Still the sickness seems to grow,
In the minds,
Oooh, though the players names may change,
A simple question still remains,
Who's to blame ? Who's to blame ?"
Pendragon's lyrics on "Not Of This World" are very rich too, especially on the 1st track.
For lyrics that fit more in the "historical" side of the topic, I would quote Marillion:
"But even jesters cry !", "And thus begins the web", "So here I am once more, in the playground of the broken hearts"
