Thanks everyone....yes Rogor that must mean we have similar tastes
Prickly, Dale, here's a little chronological synopsis of each Anekdoten release...
Vemod - Raw but powerful. The bassist (Jan-Erik) sings the majority, and I like his voice better. "The Old Man And The Sea" illustrates this, and is myfavorite song by Anekdoten. "Wheel" is a great cut. Anna-Sofi's voice and mellotron add a freaky ghostly sound. Crimson fans will love it.
Nucleus - Maybe their most aggressive. Like Vemod but louder.
From Within - More of Niklas singing, he has the higher almost whiny voice. I like this one the best musically, it's very hypnotic. The songs are solid.
Gravity - Accessible, it's very ear-friendly. But not commercial. It's the one I've least listened to, only because I've only listened to discs a few times each in the lasty 3-4 years.
A Time Of Day - That's the one we heard.
Prickly should like one of the first two the best, Dale probably any of them. From WIthin will either rivet you or leave you indifferent...no middle ground.
Hope that helps!
(Thanks for the observation dinosaur, that's what I aim at...)
