Additional Yes tracks from Rhino.
I've just taken delivery of Rhino's "Tales......." release.
Listening to the "Studio run throughs" of 'Dance of the Dawn" and "The Ancient" make me wonder if anyone out there REALLY likes them. The same goes for the run through of 'And you and I' that appears (by mistake) on the 35th anniversary compilation that's just been released. As a "completist" collector, I want to own (and listen to) as much as I can lay my hands on but for the average collector who just likes Yes' music I feel they'd be wasting their money buying the CDs just for these "out-takes" as they really are a bit, shall we say, RAW and should only be listened to out of interest. You can see how the final piece was arrived which IS interesting but..... I'd be interested to know what anyone else thinks of these. Yesspaz........got any thoughts on this????? |

Yes, I have thoughts on this:
Rhino sucks. They rip people off. Why not put all the bonuses, run-throughs, the extra tracks from IN A WORD, remixes like 4 INCEHS ON TAPE, etc. etc. etc. and make a four or five disc bixed set of rarites? Why tack them onto the ends of albums? TO PILFER OUR POCKETS! I don't own any of these, and will not until I find them used (read: cheap).
