Well, I didn't hear the Sky Show Update, so I assume I can in somewhere in Fripp and Eno. I like the feel of the show. Monday's are crazy for about three weeks, but then I should have Monday nights off again. Yeah.

Great line up Avain.........

I'm really glad you're back on the air.

Is there going to be a repeat show scheduled for those of us on the other side of the swamp? This is a show I would like to hear on a regular basis.

Keithie - I'm not sure. I'll ask my bosses, and see if they can spare some time.

To be consistent, the replay would have to run in the time slot we currently run the Gagliarchives replay. I'm OK with not re-running the Gags, since:
a) it's already four hours long
b) it has commercials

but what does everybody think?

I definitely would lean towards giving Avian a rerun slot:

a) He founded the station, so it's kind of an "emeritus" thing.
b) The Planetarium is independent and non-profit, where Gagliarchives is syndicated and commercial. I.e. Tom doesn't "need" the exposure. I'm not trying to be negative to Gags, but Avian is "the little man" in this scenario.
c) One hour is better than four. More request/random time. Heck,
Planetarium + repeat + BrainRock + repeat = 1 Gagliarchives.

But you're the boss. Whatever.

The Gags show rerun is a recent thing, so it may not be missed. I assume it's one recorded entity so removing the commercials are not an option (ooh how unAmerican).

Since the show is syndicated, once is enough.

That's my view.

A few things...

The Gagliarchives is not commercial, nor is it syndicated. Not sure how that impression got out there. Its station is also non-profit. A few sponsors help the show out (probably by providing music and what not), and there's a few sponsor messages in there, but not many at all. But all of the other "commercials" are just ads for other WBZC shows, PSAs, or commercials for us!

The main reason for the Gags replay was for The Other Side of the Pond. They previously couldn't hear much, if any of the show. Are they diggin' the replay?

I would vote for keeping the replay, unless there's some overwhelming feedback that says otherwise. Even then, I'd talk to Tom about it, too.

Is there another time where it wouldn't interfere with an existing show?

You're right.....

I should have thought about that...I've listened to it enough that I should have known better.

I'll let the others chime in now.....

My error on it not being syndicated and commercial. I also am not against a Gags replay. I'd just side with The Planetarium if forced to choose. My question is this: Gags plays on Saturday night, so wouldn't the replay be on Sunday afternoon? All other replays are next-day. Or Avian could do Sunday afternoon and Monday night.

I'm being greedy but........

I want both.

I've enjoyed listening to the gags replay but would want to have the opportunity to hear Avian's show too. As Avian's show is just an hour I hope it would be fairly simple to find a slot some time during the week for that.

I said I'd let others speak...

but I can't help myself!

Looks like you have the best of both......there's a clamor from the Europeans for both, and I like Spaz's idea.

To elaborate:

A Sunday gags repeat would be good for the non-US population, no American Football! That way there would be a captive audience. I'd have to defer, however for exact times. I do not know what time would translate for the best opportunity to hear Gags overseaes.

My Sunday night show is good for me personally, but a lot of the listeners are watching football. If I had the Sunday afternoon time slot it would be dead air. And I have juggled work so I am off Mondays for the repeat, and we moved it once to accomodate the most listeners, and that was also cool with me.

So moving Gags to sometime Sunday afternoon EST would open up the Tuesday slot for Avian's repeat.
