Today's playlist:
http://toib.net/cgi-bin/showpl.cgi?s...&list=greece05 ANDREAS THOMOPOULOS - Beautiful folk-rock in exile with a little help from his friends. DIMITRIS POULIKAKOS - Ex-member of Hexadactylus, they all performed on his friggin weird solo album. NICOLAS ASIMOS - Underground figure with recordings dating back to the 70s, first actual album didn't come out til 82. Reminiscent of Savopoulos with the gruff vocals, fascinating and subtle stuff. PANOS DRACOS - Old fashioned pompous concept material despite it coming out in the 80s. I tried to lean towards instrumental stuff just for variety. NIKOS TATSIS - Really obscure folky stuff from the late 70s. I got a jugo. ELENI KARAINDROU - Soundtrack composer for the last 30 years helps add gender balance to part 5. TROJAN WAR - Even more pompous concept album from the 70s, like Andrew Lloyd Webber in Greek. Go Trumpets, let loose the dogs of cheese. DIMITRIS PAPADIMITRIOU - Piano and atmospheric keys throughout this underground lo-fi somewhat EM style (new age?) recording. Regards, Sean
