King's X in Europe

http://www.kingsxrocks.com/

click "Tour"

April and May 2011.

If you have a chance, GO SEE THEM! I've seen them four times and have never seen a better live band except maybe U2.

Thumbs down Re: King's X in Europe

U 2 knows where to find the country named "BELGIUM". King's X hasn't heard of it yet. No concerts at all in our little country.

Re: King's X in Europe

Choose your own insult!

A. Cloth-eared nincompoop (Mike Oldfield)
B. It's only rock and roll and I like it (Rolling Stones)
C. If it's too loud, you're too old (too many to name)
D. If you like what you hear then go tell somebody! Oh Oh! Go tell someone! Go Tell Somebody!

... just yanking your chain, VMan ...

They played 3rp. Why? I don't know. AFAIAC, they were regressive rock; not progressive rock.

...and I must be getting old then as they were way too loud. Way too loud for even a venue 3 times its size. I'd very much prefer to enjoy the sounds and music of the moment than suffer tinnitus a lifetime.

Re: King's X in Europe

AFAIAC? As far as I am concerned?

They probably played it because of I/O's influence, and the fact that they have MANY prog people has fans, though they are admittedly NOT a prog band (though the first four albums are proggish).
