Show 70 - "Dinosaur's Spacewalk"
September 2004, when the show hatched from it's egg, it needed a name. The man who coined the show "The Rickter Scale" was Milwaukee's best (no not the beer
 ) Dinosaur..... I made a comment about giving him a block of time on a future show. As we know, Dinosaur time is a bit off from standard time. About a month ago he sent me an email, cashing in his airtime. He even had the quote to back it up!  ok enough smilies... Every song you'll hear on this show was picked out by Dinosaur, except for the final three. The theme is a celestial one, as I'm sure you will see... (I was thinking about throwing in the Acuity song "Milwaukee", but it's 25 minutes and it deals with a Jeffrey Dahmer-type...not exactly in keeping with the theme) Here we go: Tony Levin - Phobos Porcupine Tree - MoonLoop2 Ayreon - Amazing Flight Hidria Spacefolk - Jahwarp King Crimson - The Sheltering Sky Knight Area - Beyond/The Gate of Eternity Mountain Mirrors - Battle Nebula Syzygy - Distant Light Bozzio/Levin/Stevens - the Sun Road IQ - Guiding Light Michael Gotz - Equinox Moon Jade Warrior - Moontears White Willow - Paper Moon Gamalon - Starlite Retroheads - Starry Night Joe Satriani - Starry Night Shakary - Starless Nights Camel - Highways of the Sun Renaissance - Carpet of the Sun First Band From Outer Space - Make Yourself Heard for the Rest of the World Quarkspace - Outerspace Highway King Black Acid - Into The Sun RPWL - Trying To Kiss the Sun There were a million others to choose from, but I think this is a great set. the song titles mesh into one another. There was some time to fill because I nixed Steve Unruh (I played the song requested twice in the last few months here)..so I added three: Return To Forever - Beyond the Seventh Galaxy Manfred Mann's Earth Band - Sky High Crack the Sky - Nuclear Apathy Make no bones about it! |

wasn't Quiet Sun and 801 the same? Manzanera, that is....  edit... OK I got it now. East of Asteroid was the song. It's a re-done version of that song.
