Ray Wilson in Unna, Germany, on Nov 26th

The Lindenbrauerei in Unna is not far from my home, aprox 10 km, so we went there at 7:30 pm, as the gig was scheduled for 8:00. When we entered the hall (capacity aprox 250 people, it was already relatively crowded and, Oh wonder, a guy came up on stage, said his name (I did not understand it) and that he was Hawaian and begun to sing five songs only accompanied by his guitar. Nothing from the other world, but a nice intermezzo to make the waiting time shorter.

At 8:05 (!!! so punctual) Ray Wilson and his band came on stage and begun with the Song of his album: These are the changes. A second song from his album followed and then the first Genesis titles appeared. After that it was a mixture of new Ray Wilson songs, Genesis and even Peter Gabriel songs.

From the first moment on we were captured by his particular, excellent voice and the perfect performing of the songs. Accoustic and electric sounds shaked hands during the complete gig, From near to metal, over prog up to ballades.

After two hours the official part was finished, and after not claiming to much Ray came out alone and performed 5 songs only him and his acoustic guitar. Than the group came again and they played another 3 known Genesis songs (including ripples), which lastet another 40 min. So the total gig was 2:40!!!

Resuming: We had a hell of a fun and the best of it, Ray and the band had fun as well. At the end he could have covered Britney Spears and we would have enjoyed it as well.

So guys and girls, if Ray Wilson gets near to your area, don't miss him. I hope you will have so much fun as Mrs Lotus, daughter of Lotus and I had.
