Gnosis Radio playlist

I was scanning the Gnosis radio playlist, and saw with amazement a great number of punk acts that I used to listen to. One in paticular, the Minutemen, would revel in their ability to write minute songs.

What in the hell is going on here?

It said "prog-punk". What? Is prog-country next? These bands aren't prog-punk. They're just punk (and mostly good).

I do not have an aversion to these bands being on AM. It's just that I am baffled as to why fusion is so frowned upon here (or at the very least underrepresented), and punk is played. Some of you like straight jazz. And hey, put some hard rock (OK, call it metal even though I loathe that term) up against some of the drivel that passes for prog.

Did something go over my head here?
