I listened to Philipp Nespital for the first time in 2017 with his album THE OCEAN and this multi-instrumentalist had caught my attention and I decided to follow his subsequent albums which would certainly give me some excellent music.... after many years Philipp Nespital comes out with this new album and proves once again that he can write music of various genres while always maintaining an excellent quality.

SMALLTAPE was formed as the solo project by a musician / sound designer Philipp NESPITAL. He always works in his studio in collaboration with some guest musicians such as Otis Sandsjö (tenor saxophone, ex-Lucia Cadotsch Trio), Christopher Zitterbart (guitars, ex-Mt. Amber) or Stephan Pankow (guitars, ex-Toxic Smile), and on stage with Manuel Humpf (drums), Alexandra Praet (bass, keyboards, backing voices), and Flavio De Giusti (guitars, backing voices). His first album "Circles" has been released in 2011, and his second one "The Ocean" in 2017. his third album in 2021: THE HUNGRY HEART and now in 2025 his fourth album TANGRAM
