Steve Stevens

He's coming to Vegas this Friday with Billy Idol, and tee's favourite Derek Sherinian on keys.

Based on feedback from moonies, I might just go.

Sherinian

was a total a**hole at Nearfest.... I'm not a fan of his band, and I've been vocal in my dislike of Planet X.

That being said, there are many others who disagree with me (Jim is one), and I have seen shows others may find silly, so do as you may.

I'm a bit surprised, I didn't know that you liked Mr. Idol.......but if you do go let us know.....I'm always open to new things.

Well, it's not Mr. Idol who's the draw.

It's Mr. Stevens, based on moonie feedback.

And must say am curious about Derek.

However, this might amount to nothing. Mr. Idol's webpage says the concert happened last Friday. Mr. Steven's website says it's this Friday.

Will have to do a bit more sleuthing.

still may be good...

but I saw Adrian Belew once with David Bowie. Maybe it's cause I've seen Adrian solo a bunch of times and with KC a lot, but he was out of his element.

I've heard Stevens is world-class, and great on tour with Idol.

It depends how much you are willing to sit through.

Personally, I'd be able to sit through a LOT of Stevens solo, and I'd much rather have my old teeth put back in my face, then have them drilled mercilessly (like there's any other way?) without any kind of novacaine than be subjected to even 5 minutes of Billy Idol. In fact, I'd rather support NT than sit through 5 minutes of Billy Idol.

Roger -Dot- Lee, doesn't like Billy Idol not even a little bit.

hmmmm

I'm quite curious about this show. I enjoy much of Billy Idol's music actually (but don't look for it on the Moon, I don't think anyway), and I didn't have the same problem with Sherinian as Rick did (but I didn't talk to him in person. His stage persona was kind of arrogant, but man, the band was good.) Stevens I like. But is it going to primarily feature Billy Idol songs? Not a lot of room for Stevens and Sherinian to stretch out there...

Let us know if you go, mossy-une...

Being a long time Billy Idol fan, I wish I was going. What an awesome combination of talent, Idol, Stevens and Sherinian. Wonder what new cover Billy will come up with to show off the musicians virtuosities. As the great iPoda said once, More, More More!!!!!
