The only one I can really second is Akacia, the others I'm not familiar with, at least not enough to make a suggestion.

What would be helpful to the FIC (folks in charge) would be to create a separate thread for each band with their name in the subject so that they can track them.

Ditto the one thread per artist thing. Generally the FIC will ignore suggestions otherwise - lot to keep up with.

As for some of the bands:

Explosions in the Sky - It's a possibility. It'd definitely give VAXman, Mailotron, and Lotus something to be pissy over.

Star One - probably too metal, if I had to guess. AM tends to shy away from a lot of prog metal because (1)there's so much prog metal it's almost outgrown prog proper - in numbers, not quality - and (2) there are already a few prog metal stations on the net, speciallizing in that music. But still, "High Moon!"

Aragon - I think we have some, but I'm too lazy to check.

Ok, no Prog metal, scratch Star One & Mullmuzzler.

Landmarq is a very good band from England with a female singer Tracy Hitchings (excellent voice) produced by Clive Nolan of Pendragon & Arena fame. Strangers On A Train is also a Clive Nolan project with Tracy Hitchings again on vocals, good stuff.

Not "no Prog metal," just not much.

See Jim's thread on music suggestion format.

Nah, don't fret Spaz. I have plenty to get "pissy over"... like your repeated requests of GY!BE, Mogwai, Iona and PF's Quicksilver.

I'm way done with GYBE! and there's a whole lot more Floyd and Iona

PS: Explosions in the Sky is a GYBE!-esque band on the same record label.
