ProgDay..anyone attending?

ProgDay is held annually in the open air at beautiful Storybook Farm
near Chapel Hill, NC over Labor Day weekend, September 4 - 5. This
year's festival features the classic Dutch chart-toppers, Focus.
Also appearing are Swedish heavy prog giants Trettioariga Kriget,
the ever-popular symphonic Salem Hill, the Swedish Zappaesque
virtuosos Mats/Morgan Band, the symphonic Mexican jazz fusion of
Cabezas de Cera, the Spanish world prog of Amarok , and those hard-
rocking kitchen-sink modernists from Baltimore, Farquhar. In
addition, there will be a pre-show performance on Friday night with
Land of Chocolate and Freehand.

Tickets ($100 weekend, $55 day pass) are available at
www.progday.com. You can also order tickets and merchandise from
Peter Renfro, 762 Airport Road, Chapel Hill, NC 27514. Telephone 919-
545-0772.

The above is a cut and paste from the PMS group boards. I haven't been around much lately, so don't know if anyone is going to this. ?. Apparently Amon Duul had to cancel as they couldn't get visas in time.

informational or attending?

I can't imagine you are making the trip all the way from there are you Mossy?

Love the "Dutch chart toppers" line....no Akkerman I think, but still a great band.

Salem Hill blew mw away at Rosfest....I was considering making the 6.5 hr drive, but can't go. 1998 is still the only one I attended, just got my 1998 ProgDay CD (with a sampler from this year).

(don't get me started on Land of Schlockolate).....

not me

I'm still debating between NEARfest and ROSfest. Progday sounds good, but I only got so many airfares available...

Unfortunately not, Rick.

Sounds like a great way to pass the long weekend, tho.

Another year, with maybe a moonie or two attending to raise the motivation.
