What I like about Tres Lunas is that it doesn't sound like every other Oldfield release. There's a sameness to his sound (to me) which means I like any of his albums, but I need space between listens.
Same thing about the Journey, though that one was pretty interesting in it's own right. Nice mix of the orchestra/strings and Schon's guitar. It got cheesy in one or two places, and I did leave one song out (sounded like sappy pop to me), but overall a fine effort. |
