Welcome to the new forums / general information

Hiya Moonies,

I'm honoured to invite you to the new forums and invite you to be a part of our year-end poll. This is the place where all important things connected with the poll, show, album list, voting method will be announced and discussed.

I am open to suggestions, comments, thoughts. I'd like it to be our common effort, based also on your ideas.

But to begin with I have to start with general information that are showing how I see this up to this day.

My idea is our album list is closed this year. But it would be album list based on 3 week CD's submitting (about 1st, 2nd, 3rd week of December). We can make a good list of prog rock recordings during this time and discuss/add albums that are a bit far away from prog but which Moonies would like to include. I think we can accept prog related CD's and albums representing similar genres to those included in AM's playlist (good 2005 example is Kate Bush's Aerial).

So about Dec 20. we should have complete list and start voting. Voting will be closed on Jan 7. I planned it all happens a week earlier but on Jan 14. there is one very important event in London so show can't be that Saturday. I hope that one week will be enough to erm..... ....... get some rest after Keithie's birthday party and we will have the show on the Saturday, Jan 21.

However there is possibility that I will need more than 2 weeks to prepare it after closing the poll because of the difficult exams session I will have the dubious pleasure to set myself against in Jan/Feb. But I'll try to be ready for Jan 21.

I don't plan any changes to voting system. 10 albums on your list, first gains 10 points, second 9 etc. Sending via PM-ing Wojtek on forums.

More details about character of the show later as now time for dinner.

And once again, your comments, suggestions, thoughts are very appreciated!!

Re: Welcome to the new forums / general information

Hi Woj, it's 12 oclock and time for lunch here, dum de dum dum...

anyway, let me know if you want to play/replay your show over top mine. In other words, I'll give you my 8-11 EST Sunday and 1-4 EST Monday to air the show. The Monday should work for you. Something to think about...

Another Moonie going to Keithie's party. Now I really feel bad about not making it...

Rick, thanks for that! Very good time for replays.

The premiere show should be as late as possible. I wonder if we Europeans could try with 11 PM CET, not 10 PM like in 2004. It would last to 2 AM then. Thing to discuss, so please guys write your opinions.

ok then, I'll block out Jan 22 and 23 for the replays. If you have to set the show back a week or two or so, I'll just move accordingly.

Good, that way I can take a week break and also play my favorites on Jan 1 lol....
