Re: A New Moonie

That was a typo Richard and we are just having some fun with some Rowan & Martin Laugh-In lines. Anyway, welcome to the moon again

No wife for me ..... but my two cats have been giving me funny lokks the last couple of days!!!

Haven't experienced the delights of Dream Theatre yet either ....... a good thing by the sound of it!!

I did check the site out thanks Keith .... first on my list of buys is Aries and Citizen Cain (more Genenisish than Genesis!!) ...... Aries wasn't on their list although I may have procured a source for that one already!!

would be Von and i, occasionally jack.. BLESS YOU for the
CDBABY link! thanks to derek sivers, we're at itunes, toweronline,

hair metal that is....

funny you mention that. When keithie did his "Prisoner" post, I thought of the Iron Maiden song. Kirk thought of the TV show!

Keithie probably thought of both

I'm in the middle about DT, so I get it from both sides. As Mark Knofler "sang" "sitting on the fence is a dangerous course, you could even catch a bullet from a peacekeeping force"....

Hi Richard, and Welcome!
I'll resist the temptation to morph your thread into a discussion of DT or GY!BE (gas your backside emitted) -- now I've forgotten who first said that, but I still laugh every time -- so I'll just stick to:
Hi Richard, and Welcome!

Although I referenced that just last week, I believe it's from Avian....a check back would confirm that, but I'm not looking....

Re: A New Moonie

Sign of a good solid entertaining thread...when you have to search through multiple pages to find what it's supposed to be about. Most often this involves threads that have been hijacked by King's X, but in this case I was happy to see it is a new moonie announcing his arrival. Welcome to the luna-cy! For real time madness try "white" (chatting box) or "black" (shouting box), both accessible from home page. As for Prisoner...ten points if you knew P. McGoohan was NOT brit. mossy

10 more if you knew he used to be a woman! (nah that's not true)...

Iron Maiden, The Number of the Beast, song Three...has some of the TV bit at the beginning...then a power drum intro...

looks like I'm going to have to do a King's X show....maybe celebrate Spaz's return ....

He won't have new blood for long... or any for that matter. He'll be selling it by the pint to finance the CD purchases of the music he's found here.

KW- we didn't get dangerman. we did, however get
secret agent.
the prevailing theory was the Prisoner was a continuation/sequel
to secret agent, the same character.
what's your opinion?

i'd pretty much rock out to the johnny rivers theme, find something
else to do..the plots didn't hold my interest at the time.

did the beeb show the man from u.n.c.l.e.?
much better show IMO.

Re: A New Moonie

Devo's version of Secret Agent Man is pretty funny. "Duty Now For The Future" (their second) is a great record. (anything to derail a thread)

Re: A New Moonie

Thanks for even more welcomes ..... will check out the real time chat and the other links when I am home long enough to do them justice!

I knew Number 6 was a New Yorker by birth and Irish by passport, neither being British, but having lived in an adjoining state to NY and having an Irish gf I'll claim an incy wincy connection to both!!!

Feel free to hijack the thread as much as you like, good to know so many old (metephorically speaking of course) are taking the time to read and welcome me!

Just wait until I do my all GY!BE show!

I don't think I extended a welcome yet, but since prog has lots of extended songs, I'll use the excuse that I was just waiting for that extended song to end before overextending myself with an extended post extending a welcome.
