Re: Who's in your top 5 rotation.

Today's circular CD motion of newest contestants on the listening wheel:

Yo La Tengo - And then nothing turned itself inside-out
Eberhard Weber - Selected Recordings - 1974-2000 - ecm
Porcupine Tree - Metanoia
Oscar Peterson - The Sound Of The Trio (w/Ray Brown & Ed Thigpen)
Os Mutantes - Live at the Barbican Theatre, London, 2006

Hmmmm, I think I need to diversify a little.

Re: Who's in your top 5 rotation.

Combination Head (I played them twice last night!)

Al DiMeola- Flesh on Flesh (SACD)

Helmet of Gnats (SACD)

Barry Miles (On direct-to-disc vinyl from the 70s. Never knew what happened to him till I Googled his name to find he played on a few of DiMeola's CDs, so I've been listening to him and didn't even know!)

John McLaughlin- Electric Dreams (On vinyl....always loved this one!!)

Paul sent me a myspace message today, what a coincidence - the new one should be available via CD Baby next week. A new year, a new head! (Combination that is). I replied that I was sure to pick it up and play it on the show. But with all my stuff going on, it may not be for a month or so.

Don't you just love that last song on the disc? The melody stays with you.

On a related note, I finally heard the Black Bonzo from this year (they have an earlier disc). It kicked my ass all the way up and down the Eastern seaboard.

On an admin note...this is still a duplicate thread, or at the very least, in the wrong section of the forum...

Neal Morse... I can listen to ? over and over... but Sola Scriptura only once a week....
Klaatu... ever since Gort turned me on to them... I have really enjoyed discovering new things in their music with each listening....

Re: Who's in your top 5 rotation.

Time has moved on and so have I...
my current Top 5 rotation - yes I am "restarting" this thread!!

YES - "Fragile" - it is still in my top rotation... hummmm, maybe time to switch
Barclary James Harvest - "Caught in the Light" (I have found out that my wife likes this too!)
Dave Matthews Band - "Crash"
Vinyl Kings - both "Time Machine" and "A Little Trip" (very Beatlesque)
The Clash - "London Calling" - what can I say - I like a little fun every now and then...

What is in YOUR top 5 CD rotation - right now?

Regards from Texas,
Ted
