w00t! This was a blind buy based on a Greg/Synphonic recommendation and the PW review. Absolutely wonderful IMO.

Of late I've been shying away from full plays anyway, and there have been a couple of instances where I've been asked not to play a full CD (newer releases). The music creates a connected theme and story, so it's meant to be heard as one piece. A big tip of the cap to Mr. Magoo for this - I was unaware of their "existence"! Some parts have some gritty rock and roll, augmented by a violinist who has more of a "fiddle" sound (as opposed to a treated sound). Great record.

Here's a full review with track listings:

Wow, is there a rule "to buy CDs as Greg recommends" in Syn-phonic?
It's amazing.

Sorry, it's Osakan joke.

Anyway I can't wait your show, Rick.
But...regretfully, your show will open midnight in Japan...
I wish I'll be awaken...

Re: Rickter Scale Show 199

Thanks Rick, it was a very nice show for me.
Actually I was too busy on work to listen to the show continuously.
But my work went very well.

I'm looking forward to your program and talking next week.

Re: Rickter Scale Show 199

Thank you Damo....it is indeed the hearty soul that can listen continuously for so long...I know I can't do so.

Thanks for being a friend to all of the programming on Aural Moon

Yes. Go to this page:
http://synphonic.8m.com/country/
check out your favorite country, and buy everything in your favorite genre that he says is "highly recommended, a must have" or similar.

Oh, thanks Magoo.
Well...if I'd click my favorite country and say "what's your highly recommended?"
Then...Greg could reply as follows:

"Yeah, of course, I can recommend all of them!"

I would be very .

Remember the Star Trek where Kirk gets Spock to Vulcan even though he got permission after the fact? Here's a myspace email from Alan from the band Existence:

Hi Rick!

Sorry for the delay... I was on tour and (very...) busy with another project of mine: Eletria. (If interrested, you can find it in my top friends)

You can surely play the full album. It's not a problem with us. Even if a few people did copy it, it wouldn't hurt us being passed arround... It's progressive rock after all! Not a lot of commercial radios will give us a chance to reach more people...

Thanks for your support. I'm glad you like what we do. And again, sorry for the delay... Keep me posted if you get good reaction from your listeners.

BTW: We will probably release a new one in 2009.

Ciao friend.

Alan

I replied that they may want to contact FMPM to see what's up...

Re: Rickter Scale Show 199

Indeed it's a pity the total concept album by Existence is introduced on the AM show, but I'm sure that if it's long to play, a great album is great after all.

I'm glad Rick et al. let us enjoy lots of great albums and songs.

Anyway, it's very envious you can get an e-mail by the great artist.
