Re: One Hit Wonders
CANO were indeed very good mossy.
They were a breath of fresh air on the music scene back then. Unfortunately, one of the leaders of the group, singer and songwriter André Paiement (Rachel's brother) commited suicide after the group's 2nd album, and even though they tried to continue, they never found that touch and after a few albums, they faded away. On Eclipse (3rd album) you can hear André's last contributions to the group. It must have been a very hard album to realize for the group. Anyways, thanks for reminding me about them. I'll listen to their first 2 albums tonight when I get home and be nostalgic for a while ;-) |

Re: One Hit Wonders
Rendezvous was the last recording I owned by them, marq. The first two I have on CD, and Eclipse on vinyl (which I left in Vancouver with a friend who moved and lost the box etc) I don't believe Eclipse was ever released on CD, but I found a website with a reasonable download fee for it recently. It's in my "top five of all time" so it's time to pay the fee methinks. Happy listening..
