Re: HELP! Aural Moon station IDs

I've asked many bands to contribute these. I've also -- albeit, we haven't been lucky of late with the scheduling thereof -- taken my recording kit to NJPH shows to get IDs. I'd like to see more bands and artists making IDs than moonies. It would add more to the credibility of the station.

You know, I bet if you zipped up the ones we have already, wrote a mass email to as many artists as you can find contacts for, one official-looking email with our logo and such, with the zipped file attached, and said something like,

"Hey, look at these promos. We'd love any and all of you to make a few, and we'll put them on the station. Here are the specs: [length, phrases to say, like "The Net's Progressive Rock Garden" or whatever. It would be mutually beneficial: it would give us more legitimacy, and it would help us promote you. Any promos can be mailed by CD to .... or emailed to.... Thanks for your support...."

I bet we'd get a bunch like that. Maybe not Peter Gabriel or Roine Stolte, but I bet we could get Iona or Colin Masson.
