Aragon and Vauxdvihl

Hehe... my first posting here.
I like to suggest this both Bands for AM.
Aragon - The mouse, from 1995
Vauxdvihl - To dimension logic, from 1994
Both Bands did'nt make much more and both are prog.metal.

we don't feature a lot of prog metal here, by design. I'm not a big fan of prog-metal, in general I find it more metal and not very prog. We have a bunch of Pain Of Salvation, which some people call prog-metal.

We do have one Eloy album, and may add more.

I had that Colosseum II album and didn't think much of it, gave it to my brother - I can listen to it again.

Thanks for the suggestions and keep on posting!

a metalhead speaketh

I like a lot of heavy music. I resist caling anything "metal", but I resigned myself to that term long ago.

The bands you mention are not really my style. I saw Ice Age at Nearfest, they were OK. It's just that these bands are in the middle, and they're too muddled musically. Give me some Tool, Maiden, etc. I feature these bands from time to time and I think they are plenty prog.

There are some bands like Last Crack that sometimes pop up and are moderately interesting, but the genre seems to want to prove its progginess at the expense of creating an interesting feel.

Pain of Salvation hasn't hit me right yet.

Welcome!
