Neal - off his new one? Do I need to spend MORE money? Violent Silence - Check out their my space, I'm on the front page - just heard this song through the blinding Ohio show not too far fom Moses-land. KBB - yea! Kansas - my favorite Kansas song Coincidentally, Miracles and Starless are two of the three songs that come to mind when I think of the most powerful song endings (Natural Science is the other). Re: The Fusion Reactor #219 - I'm Thankful For Prog
Wow, you folks are much too gracious. I'm not worthy.
I gotta agree about those song endings, although in my opinion Jacob's Ladder might edge out Natural Science by a hair. I'm not really in a band, but there are some friends with whom I get together every so often and jam, play covers, or write songs. We kicked around the idea of covering Starless after I played the guitar melody but Jesse (the keyboard guy) was unfamiliar with the song. (He's a jazz/classical guy who I'm converting to prog via fusion.) Bill (the drummer) put it on and we listened and that amazing ending came crashing down on us in that little room like an epiphany. We sat in stunned silence for a moment, then I said, "...and that's why they're the best band ever." And Jesse said, "Wow."
